Eugenol Health Technologies Private Limited (“Eugenol”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at 14, Thamarai Kannan Road, Halasuru, Murphy Town, Bengaluru 560008 KA, is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website, contacts us, or whose personal data we handle in the course of providing our services.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to personal data we process about website visitors, prospective and existing clients (including dental practices and their staff), individuals who contact us, and other people whose information we receive in connection with our services. Where we handle personal data on behalf of a dental practice — for example, information relating to that practice's patients — we do so as a data processor under that practice's instructions, and the practice remains the data fiduciary responsible for that data.

- Identity and contact details — your name, job title, practice name, email address and phone number, when you contact us or enquire about our services.
- Correspondence — the content of messages, enquiries and feedback you send to us.
Information we collect automatically
- Technical and usage data — your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed and the dates and times of your visits, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Information we receive from others
- Data provided by a client practice so we can deliver our services, and data from service providers who support our operations, such as analytics or hosting providers.
We do not knowingly seek to collect special-category or sensitive personal data through our website. Where the provision of our services involves health-related information belonging to a practice's patients, that data is handled strictly on the instructions of the practice concerned and in accordance with our agreement with them.
3. How and why we use personal data
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiries and communicate with you about our services.
- To provide, operate, maintain and improve our services and our website.
- To understand how our website is used and to improve its content, performance and security.
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Our lawful basis for processing
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process personal data on the basis of your consent, or for certain "legitimate uses" permitted by the Act — including where you have voluntarily provided your data for a specified purpose, and to comply with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time as described in section 8; withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

- Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
- Correction and erasure — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data, or erase data that is no longer required.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
- Grievance redressal — have your grievances addressed by us in the first instance.
- Nomination — nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact our grievance officer using the details in section 12. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
9. How we protect personal data
We maintain reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include access controls, encryption of data in transit and at rest where appropriate, and ongoing review of our security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continually to safeguard the information entrusted to us, and will notify affected people and the relevant authority of any personal data breach as required by law.
10. Children's data
Our website and services are directed at dental practices and professionals, not at children. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of children through our website. Where processing of a child's data is required in the course of providing our services, it is carried out on the instructions of the relevant practice and in accordance with applicable law, including obtaining verifiable parental or guardian consent where required.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

This policy and any dispute arising out of or in connection with it are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
